
Banana toast is a simple yet delicious breakfast or snack option that I highly recommend trying. To make it, all you need is a slice of bread, peanut butter, a ripe banana, honey and some chia seeds. The chia seeds are a key ingredient as they are high in omega 3s, protein, and fiber.
Simply toast your favorite bread (using a whole grain bread is the best and healthiest option). Spread peanut butter (or your favorite nut butter) lightly on the toast. Then slice the banana and add on top of the bread. Sprinkle the chia seeds on top and drizzle on some honey. You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon for some extra flavor. Ingredients:
- 1 slice of bread, toasted
- Peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1 banana
- Honey or Agave
- 1/2 tsp Chia Seeds (optional)
- Cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
- Toast bread and spread desired amount of nut butter over toast (you can also use a nut-free butter).
- Slice banana and lay on top of peanut butter.
- Lightly drizzle honey or agave over the toast.
- Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of chia seeds over toast.
- Sprinkle on a dash of cinnamon (optional).
