Ingredients:
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) Active Dry Yeast
- 1/4 c. Honey
- 2 tbs. Olive Oil
- 2 3/4 c. Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 c. Unbleached flour (for kneading)
- 1 tbs salt
- 1 c room temp milk
Directions:
- In a Large bowl, combine water & yeast and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Stir in Honey, Milk and oil. Add flour and salt. Stir to combine. Start adding 1/2 cup of extra flour at a time for kneading only until dough is no longer super sticky.
- Knead dough for around 5-10 minutes until dough is springy and smooth. Form a ball and place in lightly greased large bowl. Cover and let rise for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Transfer dough to floured surface. Divide into 2 dough balls. Grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans. Form dough into logs and place into loaf pans. Cover and let rise for about 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425. Bake until loves are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped, about 30 minutes. Remove from pans and let cool completely.
